League Policies

  1. NCFCA offers several kinds of tournaments throughout the season:

    • Junior Tournaments: One-day events for younger students. Focused on experience, feedback, and fun. Juniors do not advance to Championship competition.
    • Practice Events: Early-season opportunities for competitors to practice and receive feedback. Participants do not advance to Championship competition.
    • Qualifying Tournaments: The heart of the competitive season. Eligible competitors can earn advancement to their Regional Championship. May be regional or national events.
    • Regional Championships: Championship competition for students who advance from Qualifying Tournaments. One Regional Championship per Region.
    • National Championship: The culminating event of the season.  By invitation to competitors who qualify through a national qualifying tournament, Regional Championship, or the National At-Large System.
