SERVANT LEADERSHIP
Ambassadors for Christ should be equipped to influence those around them in ways that stand in stark contrast to the purposes and methods of the world. Eleven years ago, NCFCA launched a leadership program for students with this mission in mind. The Student Leadership Council (SLC) offers an in-depth exploration of Christ’s model of servant leadership, coupled with discussions on how to practically apply these principles in everyday settings—whether at home, school, tournaments, or elsewhere. Additionally, the council acts as an extension of NCFCA’s regional and national leadership teams, regularly engaging with adult leaders to offer student perspectives on life within the league. These students contribute to the league by assisting at tournaments and helping to welcome and orient new students and their families.
THE STUDENT LEADERSHIP COUNCIL
The SLC consists of two to four representatives from each region. Qualified students will be at least 16 years old on or before January 1, 2027 and have participated in NCFCA for a minimum of two years (including the current season). Each SLC term runs for one year, from National Championship to National Championship. Applicants will answer questions on leadership and obtain two recommendations.
