Welcome to Junior Activities!
The goal of NCFCA Junior activities is to encourage purposeful, educational, social, and service-oriented endeavors that allow our future competitors to be more fully engaged in the tournaments where they have older family members participating. The NCFCA Juniors program provides three types of activities: passport activity cards, directed games, and junior tournament practice.
Learning through Involvement
Featured Activities
The youngest family members at each tournament bring joy to the entire community. When they get involved through Junior Activities, they have the opportunity to work on their own communication skills and serve as an encouragement to older competitors.
Passport Activity Cards
Children work throughout the tournament to complete a variety of activities to earn stickers on a bingo-style card. They receive prizes for completing five activities in a row and for completing an entire card. Completing the activities listed on the Passport Activity Card is intended to be a fun and educational challenge for our junior participants.
Directed Games
At specified times, the Junior Activities Coordinator will gather participants for predetermined games and other activities. Junior participants will help clean up the junior area in preparation for game times.
Junior Tournament Practice
The Junior Activities Coordinator may plan a designated time for participants to practice speeches in the fellowship area. During Junior Tournament Practice, the Junior Activities Coordinator and helper(s) are directly responsible for oversight of the children.
At least two adults will be present to assist with Junior Tournament Practice. Junior participants will help clean up the fellowship area in preparation for tournament practice.
