Important Final Tournament Preparation Steps

Our first tournaments are three weeks away, and we have some housekeeping to take care of before the first rounds can happen. If we spread the word to make sure everyone is ready, our hard-working Regional Directors will be so blessed!

First, adults must complete the child safety requirements for participation.

All affiliated adults who plan to participate in tournaments must affirm that they have completed our NEW Child Safety Orientation and meet the background requirements.

  • Watch the Affiliated Adult Child Safety Orientation video.
  • Update the child safety toggles in your NCFCA profile to affirm that you have watched the video and meet our safety criteria.

Second, all participating adults must complete a waiver!

This week, each affiliated adult participating in a tournament during the first two weeks of January should receive a Liability Release Waiver to sign electronically. Adults must be listed in Step 4 of Tournament Information to get the waiver which will be emailed from Forms@NCFCA.org. If you don’t get the form by Thursday, December 22, please email Forms@NCFCA.org to request your copy. This one-time-per-season form will replace the paper waivers that had to be signed for every tournament in prior seasons, but every adult will need to sign their own individual waiver.

Avoid last-minute stress. Your family will not be able to pick up name tags or participate in the tournament in any way if the steps above are not completed. So, let’s link arms, check in with friends, and make sure we’re all set for a great start.

As a bonus, adults who have toggled the child safety affirmations in their profile AND have completed their waiver will be entered in a prize drawing for the first tournament!

See what's new for you!

All of our judge resources for the season have been updated. All judges must watch our the judge training video for any event they judge at least once per season. We encourage parents to watch both videos prior to check-in for the first tournament so that they are ready to meet the judging requirements and help keep the tournament running smoothly.

January Mission & Prayer Focus: Meet the Challenge

Throughout this month, we invite you to join us in praying that our entire community will meet challenges with courage, humility, and love for one another.

Be strong, and let’s show ourselves courageous for the benefit of our people and the cities of our God; and may the Lord do what is good in His sight. 1 Chronicles 19:13 (NASB)

All of our affiliates give so much to our league, and we’re grateful for every one of you this season. Thank you to those who donated financial resources to help us make participation available to more families and judges. If you would like to join in supporting our year end drive to make NCFCA affordable for all, please visit our donation page.
