City on a Hill (COAH) is a Christian family Speech and Debate Club affiliated with the NCFCA Christian Speech & Debate. City on Hill was inspired by Matthew 5:14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden.”
We aim to prepare students for their future by practicing essential communication skills to help them become better ambassadors for Christ. City on a Hill (COAH) promotes excellence but, most importantly, grace when speaking and serving in a Christ-like manner. We believe this is something every student should be taught in preparation for their walk with Christ. This is taught through speech and debate classes which discuss how to effectively respond and build on complex topics that they can compete on a regional and national level. Alongside the kids, the parents will explore the world of speech and debate, learning to critique and encourage students constructively.
