“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, and the knowledge of the Holy One is insight.”Proverbs 9:10
NCFCA’s mission to challenge and equip ambassadors for Christ to communicate truth with integrity and grace stands on a prerequisite. You can only be Christ’s representative and message-bearer if you truly know Him. As an organization, we are quite capable of helping students hone their speaking skills, but being able to communicate truth to its fullest extent means that you know the author of all truth personally, understand His attributes, and His word. NCFCA can’t do this for you.
So, how do you draw near to Christ? It’s the same way you get to know a friend or a neighbor - spend time with them, ask questions, and learn more about them through the conversation as the relationship grows.
As we begin the 2021 competition season, we are encouraging you to join us in a topical focus on Godly Wisdom by launching a “Wisdom Challenge.” Inspired by authors Dan Britton and Ron Forseth in their book by the same name, this challenge will have you read one chapter of Proverbs each day based on the day of the month AND share what you’re reading and learning with a friend, a Proverb Partner!
Wisdom from scripture and regular conversation about what you’re learning with a friend is a win-win!
Will you join the NCFCA Wisdom Challenge by reading one chapter of Proverbs each day?
In starting this challenge, we pray the words of Ephesians 1:18-19 for you:
“I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe.”Ephesians 1:18-19
