Values Intro
What we value determines what we do. If I value sleep, I will go to bed. If I value order, I will clean up. If I value a relationship with God, I will spend time with Him. Thus, what we do also reveals what we value.
This principle is just as true for organizations as individuals. What we do as an organization reveals what we value, and what we value determines what we do. The Board of Directors has determined that there are five primary values that guide everything we do as an organization:
As you can see, the Board allowed Scripture to be our guide as we selected the values that are particularly relevant to NCFCA. In future editions of this newsletter, our Board Members will take turns digging more deeply into each value and sharing our vision with you.
Some of these values have been strongly reflected in our actions over the years, but others are admittedly aspirational in nature as we seek to align our actions even more closely with these standards. It is our desire that these values would so saturate everything we do that everyone involved in NCFCA--our Board, our national staff, our Regional Directors, our club leaders, our affiliate families, and our competitors--would be guided by godly wisdom, meditate upon and speak about redeeming truth, be gracious communicators, focus on the type of enduring excellence that matters to the Lord and not to men, and engage in a constructive community that sharpens and encourages us all.
