Dear Friend of NCFCA,
If you’re reading this letter, you’ve made it to our completely overhauled NCFCA.org website, and I’m thrilled to offer you my welcome! We’ve been working for several months on a plan to make it easier for explorers, affiliates, and judges to find the information they want. We’ve still got some work to do, and there are there will be errors to catch, but we’ve decided to launch so that our affiliates will have the information they need to prepare for the season in the new format we will be providing going forward.
What’s different?
- Experienced affiliates will find that we’ve moved all of our policies, rules, and resource links out of big, long documents and into easy-to-navigate (but still printable) web pages.
- Judges will find new and easier pathways to the tools they need and be able to see tournament details and schedules before being asked to create an account.
- Newcomers will find pages that help them better visualize our events through photos, videos, and more robust explanations before they sort through the rules.

Will people still have to log in?Â
Yes and no. We have two parts to our league’s web presence.
- When we log in, we’re visiting Dashboard.NCFCA.org. This site houses our NCFCA Shop, user dashboards, tournament registration and check-in screens, and best of all–our competition platform, complete with electronic ballots and in-tournament communication systems. You will still have to sign in for all of this goodness.
- Our public-facing site, NCFCA.org, has traditionally been designed primarily for explorers who are trying to learn about our organization. This is the website you’re on right now, and it’s the one we’ve just overhauled for everyone who touches our organization, whether they’re logged in or not.
Who does our team have to thank for making this possible?
- First, we want to thank all of the affiliates and judges who have prayed for us and provided thoughtful feedback during the last couple of years through surveys, emails, and conversations. We’ve done our best to listen well and address the biggest concerns from the ground up. We welcome your continued feedback as we refine and continue development.
- Second, I would like to say a particularly big thank you to our very talented tournament photographers. We published a wish list of shots two seasons ago, and you delivered beyond what we could possibly ever use. We’ll do our best to keep switching between the many good photo options you’ve given us to keep things fresh, and we hope you’ll keep them coming.
- Several individuals and families provided generous donations that allowed us to spend the necessary hours with an excellent development team to deliver a site that performs even better than it looks. We are grateful for your support!
- The talented and creative team from GDN Web Media led by Robert Galofre guided us through a sophisticated design process that we never would have been able to pull off on our own. They listened carefully and worked (and reworked) tirelessly. Robert is an NCFCA alumni dad who gets our organization and contributed solutions we hadn’t even considered.
What should you do if you see a mistake or have a suggestion?
Tell us! We’re happy to have your help as we wrap up final stages of the rollout and begin to maintain the redesigned site going forward. Please use the form below to report errors or let us know what you think might make it better.
Thank you again for your support and prayers. We appreciate your patience as we tidy up the edges.
Joyfully,
Lisa Schumacher
Director of Communications and Marketing
